The first research aspect includes the BLUP (Best Linear Unbiased Prediction, BLUP) breeding technique development and application, molecular marker linkage mapping, important commercial QTL (Quantitative Trait Loci, QTL) mapping, functional gene localization, cloning and tagging. The second research aspect is focused on the genetic resource and diversity assessment & protection in important marine culture animals, cell, sperm and embryo cold preservation and the related platform construction.
